Conceived in 1965 the Fiji Islands Hotel and Tourism Association has grown from strength to strength in the past forty five years. Similarly membership has increased with time and now accounts for more than eighty percent of total room inventory in Fiji. In 2005, the Association further expanded to include other key elements of the Tourism Industry with Dive Operators becoming Active Members. In 2008 Marine Operators were included as Active members. The Association is proactive and has addressed and will continue to address major issues of concern to the hotel and tourism industry in Fiji.
